Recipients of remittances must provide a Ghana Card ID (as per the Bank of Ghana directive) before payments can be made.
The following mandatory information is also required:
- REF number / MTCN / XPIN / PIN
- Sender’s name
- Receiver’s name
- Receiver’s occupation
- Receiver’s Date of Birth and Country of Birth
- Receiver’s House number and Telephone number
- Expected Amount and Purpose of Transaction
- Relationship with Sender
PBL also allows the Cedi Bank Account of beneficiaries of Ria and UnityLink remittances to be credited directly.
